Covered.ai is a nutrient tracking app. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can contact us or ask us to delete it.
Information We Collect
Account information
If you create an account, we collect your email, name or display name, and login details (password or a sign-in provider ID such as Google).
Meals, ingredients, portions, notes, calorie or nutrient goals, weight or other targets if you add them, and your daily log history.
Meal photos
If you take or upload a photo of food, we collect that image so the app can help identify the meal and estimate nutrients.
Device and app information
App version, device type, language, crash logs, and basic diagnostics so we can keep the app working.
Website and early-access information
If you join early access on this website, we collect your name/email and payment confirmation. Card or wallet details are processed by our payment provider (such as PayFast or Paddle). We do not store your full card number.

How food analysis works
Nutrient numbers are estimates. If the app uses a nutrition database or an AI service to read a meal name or photo, that text or image is sent to that service only to identify the food and estimate nutrients.
We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep account and food-log data while your account is open.
If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal data unless we must keep a limited record (for example a payment receipt).
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
International processing
Your information may be processed on servers outside your country when we use cloud or AI providers.
Payment information
Covered.ai does not collect or store your full card number, bank password, or wallet PIN.
If you buy early access on coveredai.app, our payment provider processes the payment. They collect the financial details needed to complete the transaction and store them under their own privacy policy. We only receive confirmation that you paid (for example your name, email, amount, and payment status).
